Travel Stories

Travel Stories is the The fourth collection of selected papers from a series of annual academic conferences Discovering Dalmatia, held at the Institute of Art History – Cvito Fisković Centre in Split, which began in 2014. The current volume is a direct continuation of the book „Discovering Dalmatia: Dalmatia in Travelogues, Images, and Photographs“, published in 2019. The editorial process and publication of this book coincides with the first year of a new project funded by the Croatian Science Foundation Travelogues Dalmatia – “‘Where East Meets West’: Travel Narratives and the Fashioning of a Dalmatian Artistic Heritage in Modern Europe (c. 1675 – c. 1941).”
