The annual meeting of RIHA in Edinburgh

The annual meeting of RIHA (International Association of Research Institutes in the History of Art) was held in Edinburgh from 15 to 17 October 2026.

The meeting included the 27th General Assembly, i.e. the meeting of directors, then a meeting of local editors and a meeting of representatives involved in the Visual Arts in Europe: An Open History (EVA) project. Our Institute was represented by Dr Ana Šverko, Dr Andrej Žmegač, local editor of RIHA Journal, and Ana Ćurić, a collaborator on the EVA project.

Our hospitable Scottish hosts also organised guided tours for their international colleagues, introducing us to some of Edinburgh’s important historical and cultural landmarks, including Magdalen Chapel, the National Galleries and the New Town.
