Secondment at the University of Florence

Darka Bilić is undertaking a secondment at the University of Florence, at the Department of Architecture, from 4 May to 3 June 2026, upon invitation by Prof. Sandro Parinello.

The secondment is carried out within the framework of the HEPHAESTUS project, funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions under the EU Horizon Europe programme (MSCA – SF 2023), as part of the implementation of the project’s planned activities.

The activities include the development of a shared, ontology-based system for describing and analysing fortified elements (the so-called „abacus“), as well as the development of IMLs (Information Modelling Libraries), aimed at structuring and organising datasets derived from prior documentation of fortification heritage.
