Život umjetnosti 109-2021

The editorial board invites all interested authors to submit scientific and/or scholarly papers for publishing in the journal Život umjetnosti (109–2021). The thematic issue of the journal is dedicated to various aspects of photography, with an emphasis on the meaning and knowledge that this medium transmits and encourages, and on the critical revaluation of the development and role that photography plays in society. Contributions that interpret photographic perception in an innovative way in all areas of human activity and periods, its social engagement and the ability to initiate a dialogue with what is already existing, found and visited, come into consideration. Thematic issue of the journal is part of the activities within the project Ekspozicija – Themes and Aspects of Croatian Photography from the 19th Century until Today, funded by the Croatian Science Foundation (IP-2019-04-1772). Guest editors of the thematic issue are Sandra Križić Roban and Ana Šverko.

The deadline for submitting the paper is 1 September 2021. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered. We accept contributions in Croatian and English language.
